Carys Project....

February 17, 2011

This was your first time painting. You loved it, I can't wait to do even more artsy stuff with you this summer. I outlined your hands on the paper and then you painted all over it. I like how you just did a bunch of spots instead of smearing it all together, very artistic! You couldn't wait to show Daddy when he got home.

I got you some new flip flops from Old Navy and you were so excited! Every other day you ask to go to the beach. This morning still in your pajamas you put on these shoes and ran around yelling, "got my flip flops, going to the beach!"

Hat's Off

Nathan and I celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary last week. We went to Morton's Steakhouse and spent an almost obscene amount of money on steak. Good thing it was one of the best we ever had! (And they gave us this free picture) I just love spending time with my husband. This year we'll be together for 10 years total. We're so thankful for all we've been blessed with, but above all that the Lord transformed our lives by bringing us close to Him!

In other news, check out this handmade hat I just bought on Etsy for the baby...how sweet! (please disregard the slightly creepy baby doll and focus on the hat)

I'm having some camera issues again, which I can hopefully figure out today and get my "project" back on track!

Carys Project....Daddy and Football

February 3, 2011

You get so excited when Daddy comes home. Right when you hear the front door opening, you startle and say, "oh! Daddy's here" and then you go running. Um, its pretty much the cutest thing ever!

Yesterday we watched the Superbowl and one of our favorite teams won! You don't know it yet, but they are one of of your favorites also. What can I say, you were born into a sports-lovin' family, I hope you can embrace it. We taught you how to throw your hands up and yell "touchdown!"

Just some stuff I liked

Whenever the J. Crew catalog comes to my door, I get excited. Even though currently I can neither afford or fit into any of the clothes, it still makes for a very pleasing 10 minutes of the day for me.

I love this necklace

And this dress...

Actually, I did splurge on a new diaper bag, since let's face it, my little camoflauge Diaper Dude is not going to cut it anymore for the momma of 2 girls! They were having a big sale at this random baby boutique I was walking by, and they so happened to be carrying the one Petunia Pickle Bottom bag that I liked. This thing is heavy duty! It's called Siesta in Sevilla, though something tells me there is not going to be much siesta involved. Do you love it or hate it? Wait, don't tell me, it was a final sale...
