Easy Does It

Last week I tried a couple new recipes by Pinterest. (Which by the way, I can't figure out how to directly post pins on here since they changed their layout! So I am just linking directly back to the original site the recipe came from). Aaanyway, both of these recipes were really easy and they turned out great!

I used some good roast beef from the deli counter to make this faux philly cheesteak sandwich,
and it was awesome!
Definite husband pleaser. Get some potato salad from the deli counter to make dinner even easier.

I bought these two ingredients a while ago after seeing this on Pinterest, and when some friends came over last Saturday morning it was a good reason to try it out. I put some walnuts on top before baking them.
They were a success...just two ingredients...boom!

The Clue Series ~ Colonel Mustard

There are two kinds of people in this world. Those who love the movie Clue, adapted from the legendary board game, and those who don't (or sadly have never seen it). I grew up loving the board game (ah, simpler times) and then of course the deliciously quotable movie came along.

I've decided to do a little series based on my love for this timeless classic, so welcome to my first installment! I'm going to start with one Colonel Mustard...in the hall, with the revolver  (I couldn't resist)
Here is the card I remember playing with...

In the movie he was part of one of the great exchanges:
Colonel Mustard: And are you the host?
Wadsworth: Me, sir? No, I'm just the humble butler.
Colonel Mustard: And what exactly is it you do here?
Wadsworth: I buttle, sir.

Happy Birthday Charlotte Grace

Charlie girl turns 2 today! I am so in love with this girl. She is affectionate and sweet and loving, and a whole lot of fun. Of course I knew I would love her but when you have just one kid, it can be hard to imagine making room for the second. Its just amazing how God basically makes your heart twice the size!

I so look forward to all of the adventures we are going to have!

Getting the Picture

Why is it so hard to get my kids to sit and pose for a picture? And when they do there is no camera around, naturally. Yesterday we had a good Easter Sunday except for Charlie sleeping through the whole lunch and egg hunt! When she finally woke up I had them sit on the patio steps to attempt a nice sister picture...

but they are either being too silly...

or jumping out of the shot...

or covering one of their faces...

but sometimes, if I click enough times, I can capture their sweetness and fun...

but hey I'll take them any way I can get them!
