No not rifles! Though that would make my husband very happy...I mean Rifle Paper Co. which has the most beautiful vintage style cards, stationery, and other goodies.

Over the Threshold

I'm sure if you are reading this blog or are a blogger than you are familiar with Threshold at Target. Blogs and Target go together like mac and cheese, we are one, let no man separate us!
But I am kind of obsessed with the new style of the Threshold items. In my opinion it features some of the best, cleanest design yet from Target. Often I feel like Target stuff will have just a bit too much going on. Or is that just me? I'm weird. You know what else is weird? The word "threshold"....anyway...this stuff looks a lot more expensive than it really is...

Ikat window panel, $30, comes in 6 different colors...the same look as a certain
West Elm Ikat curtain for much more $!

Red Lattice mirror, $30....hello fun entry way!

Honeycomb vase, $13-20...Again, West Elm has similar for twice the moola

Floral Pitcher, $20...would make a great vase too!

Leopard Love

Just saw this leopard dress at the fabulous Pawleys Island Posh and I couldn't
resist doing a set with it!
Only $30 from Target, time will tell if it looks good on a tall girl like me, but we will see!
I ended up ordering a Medium and a Large so I can try both on, but its a win win because spending more got me free shipping, and then I'll just return the other one to the store.

You could add some color with your jewelry, or keep going neutral. I am especially loving that black ring, just 5 bucks, come on! I went over $100 with the shoes, but I saw these in Nordstrom the other day and was sort of drooling over that ankle strap.

I just came across the Pawleys blog the other day, (i am late to that party btw, she has over 1000 followers),
while searching for black and white striped bathroom hooks, I was somehow led to this amazing eye candy from Oscar de la Renta posted.
Someone needs to wear this to the Oscars is all I'm sayin'....ahhh perfection.

Anyway, if you haven't already, you should check out her lifestyle blog,
it was scratching me right where I itch!

Neutral Territory

This is definitely a transition time, summer winding down and figuring out what our days will be like now. Trying to figure out my plan for home preschool and last week my bible study BSF started up again, which I am really excited about, we are studying the book of Genesis which I have never done in depth.

And what has fallen between the cracks but updating my blog. It is seriously 95 degrees outside right now in Southern California, I am inside right now with the air on, boo! I used to like to wear a lot more color, but lately being more on a budget, I like to buy stylish neutrals, that I love, and go with lots of different things. I found this scarf below that I am totally in love with!
Plus I am looking for a cute everyday shoe I can wear when it gets cold, that isn't an Ugg boot. I mean, I love my Uggs but I feel like a little kid when I wear them! They need to be reserved for emergency trips to the store and bonfires.
As for those 2 bags, yes they are the same, I just couldn't decide which color I liked better! (They are from Steve Madden where you can get 20% off until Oct. 19 with the code PSW2012)

Fall Neutrals

Here are a couple pics of my girls....

Bag Lady

One of the more annoying speech habits is when someone asks themselves a question, and then answers it. For example, would I like a new handbag for fall? Yes I would.
Do I really need a new handbag for fall? No I do not.
But if I did buy one would it be under $100? Why yes it would.

I always see bags I love and then find out its like a $500 Marc Jacobs bag or something. So I've gotten used to shopping for bags that don't cost that much, but still look like they do.
Like these!.....

Here are some of my go-to affordable online sources:
Francesca's Collections (my fave) - great assortment of totes and cross body bags, nothing over $100
Piperlime - you can search by price, and stylish people like Rachel Zoe and Rachel Bilson have their "picks" to make for easier shopping
DSW - seems to be better selection of bags online than they do in the store
Urban Outfitters-  hipster bags for a fraction of the price
